“Central Virginia's Finest Community Concert Band.”

The Richmond Pops Band is a community based organization that has been providing exciting and dynamic musical experiences to the Richmond community for over 45 years. As a non-profit, all volunteer organization, the band has enjoyed unprecedented growth and popularity with an ever increasing and diverse audience.

An annual concert series is presented at the historic Altria Theater for full-house crowds in excess of 3500 audience members. Since 2000 the band has given 60 performances at the Altria Theater and Center Stage to over 220,000 people. These performances have all been given to capacity audiences and are always offered free to the public.

These performances provide the region with cultural entertainment of the highest quality, accessible to all regardless of economic or social standing. Our funding comes primarily through small individual donations.
